Bob williams nasa engineer6/10/2023 ![]() I had a friend who was a party girl and hung out with someone and they went back to his place and he got comfortable and started smoking crack. He even mentions that he stopped sniffing cocaine when he started doing crack because the crack was so much better he didn't even think about it anymore. So if you just end up hanging around the wrong people you could in a place where you're addicted for life basically. Crack/Meth is scary because addiction seems to happen instantaneously for most people who take it. ![]() And then there's many people who can use cocaine and heroin and seemingly be fine for years and don't for whatever reason develop any dependency on it. That's why I don't feel as sorry for people who addicted to it simply because you have to "work" to get an opiate addiction. Opiate addiction kind of sneaks up on you. I've seen some people heavy addicted to opiates that do this but it takes multiple uses to get to that point from what I understand from multiple accounts of both drugs. I remember Danny Bonnaduce from (The Patridge Family.) talking about how he smoked it and then he instantly started thinking about all the things he could sell to get money for more Crack Cocaine, things like cars. That's the common thing I kept hearing with accounts of it. Opiates can kill you more quickly but crack caused some type of scary instant cravings that led to addiction. Apparently a woman he had dated offered crack to him and he immediately spent his whole entire paycheck and started dipping into his 50k savings. In another video I found on Youtube earlier he mentions that he started doing cocaine out in California and that drug use was socially the norm if you didn't do them you were an outcast.
